Representing the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, the House of Worship stands as a universal place of worship, providing a haven for the deepest contemplation on spiritual reality.
With close promixity to the cultural landscape of the Rajgir ridge, Bodhgaya and Pawapuri, the proposed site is a 7-acre farm-land in Bihar Sharif, the headquarter of Nalanda district in the state of Bihar, India.
The landscape materializes the rootedness of the new House of Worship in an ancient cultural practice: agriculture. This land undergoes a gradual morphological transformation to form the raised plinth of the House, as an enneagram, the nine-sided star.
