VILLA AT PALM SPRINGS

AREA 5812 SQFT LOCATION GURUGRAM, HARYANA PHOTOGRAPHY ANDRÉ JEANPIERRE FANTHOME
In Gurgaon, a young couple set out to transform their first house into a home that could nurture everyday life across generations — from young children to their parents. Working with an existing four-level villa, the project became an opportunity to redefine the essence of dwelling. The heart of the home was found not only in the rooms themselves but in the spaces that bridged them. Passages, staircases, and landings were reimagined as places of pause, interaction, and intimacy, while each room was tailored to reflect the personalities and needs of its occupants. The result is a vibrant tapestry of living spaces, where individuality thrives within a coherent design, balancing movement and stillness, shared experience and personal identity.
Transitional zones became focal points of the home. The central staircase features built-in seating for spontaneous gatherings, while a double-height volume links the lower and upper levels visually and spatially. Soft geometry — rounded corners, filleted openings, and gentle vaults — flows throughout the house, unifying the interiors and subtly blurring thresholds between public and private spaces. Sculpted transitions and integrated detailing enhance everyday routines while bringing warmth and rhythm to the interiors.
Each space is highly personal yet part of a coherent whole. Light-filled volumes, quiet corners, and informal seating areas offer varied experiences for all members of the family. The interiors respond to the lived reality of a contemporary household, fostering both connection and retreat. The result is a home that feels vibrant, intimate, and deeply resonant — a place where multiple generations and multiple selves coexist gracefully under one roof.
